Listen Today for Tomorrow is Another Day
So many times as believers we pray to The Lord asking to see the entire plan Jesus has for us. We are never content with what He tells us, we want to see the full picture. We know that is not how The Lord wants us to be for he wants our faith to grow strong and He wants us to be content with his answer, follow His direction and wait for the next answer.
For you see two years ago last week we were in Moldova on a vision trip searching out God’s direction for our family. During this time we prayed much and we were constantly asking to see the big picture but God kept telling us trust in me. Over the last two years we have seen various pieces of the puzzled added by the Lord for the call on our life. We accepted the call to Moldova, raised support and prepared our family both emotionally and physically.
This past week I was able to see God’s plan for my family full circle during this current season of our life. I was able to visit the village and day center we visited on our vision trip and the feelings felt I can’t explain. So many thoughts passed through my head about the last two years and I truly realized how much my relationship has grown with the Lord. For we listened to His direction today and trusted He would get us through tomorrow and now two years later we are in Moldova serving Him fully each day. We have been here for nearly 11 months and it seems like yesterday day we landed. Time has flown by and I would not trade it for anything for I know in my heart and mind this is where we are suppose to be.
While in the village last week I was able to go back to the day center we visited on our vision trip. There were no children at the day center because they were down with Bus4Life which was visiting the surrounding villages for several days. As I stood there outside the day center I prayed and thanked God for all He has done to allow us to serve Him here in Moldova. Thou the building may look the same as two years ago it really matters what has changed on the inside just like us as believers. The local church has planted a new church within the day center, they are meeting twice on Sunday and just recently started meeting on Wednesday nights. Praise the Lord, His light is shining in the little village of Huzum. Standing there looking off into the distance at the next village some scripture came to mind. So listen to the Lord today, follow his direction and He will take of your tomorrow whether you are on foreign soil or at home we all have a mission field to serve Him on. God is good, all the time God is good!
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free. Luke 4:18-19 NIT
